Hey guys, Sorry it's been a few weeks. There was a little delay getting the blank and I've been out of town on work for a week. At any rate Ron's blank arrived Monday and it is in excellent condition. It has the glossier surface from use but that's ok because the printer I am going to use for this one will, I believe, reproduce the OEM texture pretty close, we'll see.,

I have done an initial reverse engineering of the part which I will refine tonight. I hope to have prototype printed out before the end of the week ready for a check fit.

Hey Jim, not sure if you were referring to me as "project leader", but if so by all means go for it. I think those wanting to keep an original OEM part and have it restored to an OEM finish would love to have that option as well.

Not sure if we're on the same page. I offered to send you a restored original texture pattern. That's all.
Reads like you have it covered. Thanks!

Ok, yeah I was confused. But speaking of that, if I sent you a couple of examples with different textures could you review them and let me know how well they compare to original?

Reverse engineering completed. Early 3D printed prototype finished. Hope to have some textural sample surfaces in the mail to Jim later this week.
