Default Hub Stands are back - New and Improved

We redesigned our Porsche hub Stand and they are better than ever. They also not only fit Porsche, but BMW and most Chevrolet/GM as well.

Better than jack-stands, makes working on your car more enjoyable, safer, and faster. Made in the USA, each all-steel hub stand is professionally TIG-welded and painted in a chip-resistant and durable black powder-coat.
  • Beefy! Designed for vehicles up to 10,000 pounds.
  • Safer than jack stands – held on by lug nuts - car cannot fall off a hub stand like it can jack stands.
  • Places center of hub 17" off the floor. High clearance for ease of working under the car.
  • Supports the weight of the vehicle where it was intended to be supported (avoiding frame damage)
  • Great for winter storage of your car, prevents flat-spotting of tires.
  • Not in the way of creepers like jack stands are.
Many Uses:
  • ALIGNMENTS: When you want an accurate and fool-proof way to measure Toe and Camber. You can make all your measurements and adjustments totally wheels free. It's easier, faster and more precise than can ever be done on tires.
  • STORAGE: When you want to store your car without flat-spotting your tires nor damaging your suspension by leaving it unloaded (in droop) all winter.
  • SERVICE: Best way to work on your brake lines and calipers. Plus: there’s more room to work under the car without jack stands in the way.
  • PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CAR: When you discover that if you use your jacking point to jack up the car, you have nowhere to put jack stands that won’t dent something!
  • SAFETY: Cars fall off of jack stands. They can’t fall off a hub stand because it’s held in place with lug nuts.
  • PAINTING: Body work and painting is made easier without the tires and wheels. Great for installing fender flares.
  • CAR SHOWS!

We also have an optional Alignment Accessory Kit that makes checking Toe and Camber easy on your Porsche.

I am of course aware that many will site that the 928 must be resettled before an alignment measurement can be taken. This is true.

However, 1) I have found that I can usually settle a 928 suspension after a lift by bouncing the car. My favorite way is to open the hood and put my knee on the hood latch and bounce the nose of the car that way. It's rare that a 928's suspension is so tight that a few bounces doesn't settle it back down so I can get some alignment data from it. Just a suggestion. Try it if you think about it next time you have jacked the front of your 928 up and then set it back down on its wheels. Grease plates under each front tire help this as well.
2) these hub stands fit a lot of cars that have no problem with lifting before an alignment. So, the ability to perform an alignment measurement is still a useful function of this design.

Anyway - some pics of the optional Alignment parts, and the parts in use:
