AND... you will also need an S4 Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) to boost the pressure by ~10psi for the chips to properly work.
Ken's website spells it all out for you, they really will wake up the 5.0 as in 85 and 86 they were d-tuned due to lack of having Knock sensors.

You should also look for the more modern style fast reacting temperature sensor in the air box. There are a few threads on it here.
It really wakes the car up as it now takes a second or two for it to react to temperature changes vs over 15 seconds of the original.

It is part number Bosch 0280130085 and can be easily had for under $20. The intake just needs some light modifications in order for the sensor to fit.

I read John's write up, he mentions the old sensor, which is threaded, needs to be removed, the threads drilled out, then the new sensor glued in, but doesn't mention the glue? I assume it's something that seals the sensor and isn't too tough to break loose should the sensor need replacement. Do you happen to know what adhesive is used here?

And it allows/forces '85/'86 owners to swap to a 1988 threaded return style FPR and get rid of the "engine fire waiting to happen" rubber return line regulator. (I make a custom one piece return hose that eliminates the two hoses and that "adaptor on a bracket" mess (when changing the regulator to the threaded design.)
Some people use the matching EZF chip, but I've found that it provides too much ignition timing for most of these cars. I wish he would make a more conservative version, to compliment his LH chip.
I'd put them in every one of these cars!
