LED tail light bulb question
I recently replaced my taillight bulbs with Superbrights. I had to keep the original turn indicator bulbs as the Superbrights made them flash too quickly and causing fluctuation in the lights themselves. The lights work well but now the "stoplight" indicator is on. What do I need to do to correct this. I only have them in the rear. Does the car require me to adapt the entire system with LED's?

You need to do this:

Did mine last weekend.
Remember DONT LED the third brake light, if you have it.

Depending on your model year, you will likely need to modify the bulb warning light controller.
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-module-2.html
I did this mod when I replaced the rear bulbs (Reverse, Parking, Brake) and this solved the problem.
Please note, you will need to leave the high brake light as incandescent or else your cruise will not engage: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ke-lights.html
Regarding LED amber turn signals. You are correct you will get "fast flash". There are two methods to get around this.
1. Add load resistors to the lights to trick the system: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...uggesions.html
2. Replace the flasher relay with one designed for LED bulbs (https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...asher/782/836/). If you replace all four corners plus the relay, you will get proper function, however, the dash indicator bulb will be very dim so you will need to replace that with LED bulb as well: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-car/223/1036/

I didnt add resistors, defeated the point for me, and I could not find a different flasher relay that worked well.
Plus..I never found an turn signal LED that lit up the whole blinker lens element as well as a normal bulb either...so I left the rear blinker bulbs normal.

I'll add this, if after by-passing the lamp controller, and if you still have a "stop lamp" warning, you need to disconnect the wiring to the Warning Computer/controller behind the dead peddle.
All you need to do is disco one of the wires on the brake light switch (let it hang) and run a new single wire from the stop lamp switch to the Lamp Controller and have it feed the Stop Lights directly.
This circumvents the "test" function of the Brake Lights

Lots of information on LEDs for later cars, not so much for the early ones.
I've put in the recommended Superbright LED bulbs in all exterior lights except turn signals and license plate lights of my 78. I'd rather not disable the central warning panel to avoid the warning lights. I added resistors to both brake light bulb circuits so now my cruise control works with no warning lights (YEA!). But the Stop Lamp warning light stays lit after hitting the brakes. Why would that be? More important is how to fix it. Might it be the switch on the brake pedal?
When I turn on the parking lights I get both a Tail Lamp warining light and the central warning light (!) in the pod, only the latter of which goes away when pushing the reset button. Does this circuit also compare voltage side-to-side? So if I put resistors in both of those circuits, would it eliminate the warning lights?

My rear turn signals are Osram BA15s amber LEDs (7556YE-02B) replacing the P21W. They are higher quality units with large metal heat sinks. They work well.
I used the European Flasher relay from SuperbrightLEDs (ie. CF13GL-02: 3 Pin Black European Flasher) to solve the hyperflash issue.
My car is an '84 928s. All my lights on the car are LED now.

The issue i had with the turn signals, is that the LED packages did no use the entire element very well, they're buried at the edge, and do not light up the whole element well. I could not find a set that beat incandescent in that one location.
I went back to normal lights, that can throw down the whole element better. Im more for visibility than savings, or "point" intensity.

iJDMtoy bulbs w/built-in resistors are wonderful. I use them in all my vehicles and planning to try them in my incoming GTS in the coming weeks. I'll report after the LED project is complete.

I struck an oddity in LED stop/tail bulbs (5w/21w,offset bayonet pin type) - some makes actually leak volts out the stop light pin when 12v is applied to the taillight pin - I saw ~8v there.
