Now that you mention it I did have a hard time with the O'ring but helped it along with a small flat screwdriver. I didn't notice anything with the set screws at all. Once I drilled and tapped the control driver the whole kit went together just fine.
The screws on the driver are smaller than any taps I have so I don't know the size.
I was just checking the status of some of the sources of appropriate LED H4 bulbs that I listed back in post #13 in this thread and noticed that the second of the three eBay listings had ended, but... an alternate listing ("We found something similar") showed what appears to be an identical LUMILEDS H4 LED bulb set for a super-cheap price of $14.99, including free shipping. The listing contains all sorts of inconsistent information (3000 lumens/bulb in a few places, 4800 lumens/bulb in other places, 6000 lumens/bulb in other places, etc.) (and , so I don't trust that info; I suspect the listing is just cobbled together from other listings. But if the bulbs are as pictured, they're probably OK, and this is dirt cheap. Anybody want to take a chance?
Also, they're listed as CREE, which (if they're really as pictured) they're not: They appear to be Philips Lumiled LUXEON Z ES -based, which is what we want.

My $16 "mystery" LED bulbs arrived today. They certainly appear to be a match for your rear caps, time will tell if they last! I'll be ordering a set of your caps in the near future.

That's great. They sure look right. That (eBay auction) is an amazing deal.
I see there are still two left, in case anybody else wants to jump on this.
I've been running these LumiLED bulbs in my daily driver pickup for a couple weeks, and until last night was fairly happy with the results. Now, I realize this probably won't apply to 99% of 928 owners, but these bulbs are abysmal in the snow... completely, utterly, useless in a snowstorm. I'm not sure if it's the color, or something else entirely, but I'm taking them back out and returning to halogen bulbs.
Also, the driver boxes have started to make a faint "capacitor" hum, which makes me question how long they'll ultimately last. These in particular may only be a knockoff of the genuine Phillips, who knows... at $17, I'm not too upset.

I don't know for sure if the Protizmo 928-H4-Cap-22 sealing caps will work on those, but they might. I can't find any diagrams that show an important detail: the diameter of the "barrel" between the heat sink and the three-tab flange. If it's 22 mm, then it will likely work with the sealing caps (and if not, I could probably make a version of the caps with a different diameter opening and different size O-ring). I note that there doesn't appear to be a bevel on the part of the barrel where the heat sink unscrews, so it might be a little difficult to get the sealing cap over it without dislodging the O-ring, but with some careful jiggling, it would probably work.
I don't see any diagrams of the driver module, so it might or might not mate up nicely to the driver module brackets on the sealing cap.
I'm so intrigued by this that I might just have to get a set just to experiment with. I really like the idea of having an LED H4 solution (including sealing cap) where the LED H4 bulb is designed and built by a reputable company like Philips.
If anybody does have a set of these (or will soon), please post about them ASAP.

I've been looking all over for more photos of the Philips 11342XUWX2 H4 LED bulbs so I could get a better idea of whether it might work with the Protizmo 928-H4-Cap-22 sealing caps. I couldn't find any good photos showing the driver module or where the cable emerges from the bulb. I finally found the following YouTube videos (just posted over the last few days) that show much more than I've seen elsewhere.

One more thing to check that I should have mentioned: the distance from the top (the side that seats against the H4 headlight assembly) of the three-tab flange to where the O-ring sealing center line in the 928-H4-Cap-22 is 10 mm ± 0.5 mm. The barrel/shaft (whatever you want to call it) of the bulb must be 22 mm (or very close to that) at that point. The orange polygon on this dimension-annotated photo shows where the O-ring seals on a the Lumileds LED H4 bulb for which the sealing cap was designed and tested.
