And after another hour and a half of WOT racing.. here is what the same plugs look like. pulled 3 of them, especially the same one in the original picture and this is what it looks like.
NEVER judge a book by its cover!!!! plugs tell almost nothing if they are really old! This plug now has 2 race weekends, and this plug was not run since the last lap of the race!

There's a couple of "extra *****" on the electrode in picture #6 (of 7.)
Tough to tell if those are welding splatter from the manufacturer attaching the strap or if they come off with a light scrape of your fingernail..
I'm not a "minimalist" like you (and Anderson), but If I running this engine on a hot day, I'd dump in a couple extra gallons of race fuel into the monkey ****....pretty cheap insurance.
