I recently purchased a new (to me) 1991 S4. The previous owner had installed a remote entry system, which I like and wish to keep, however he only supplied me with one remote and I'd like to get a second one. There are no signs of the brand on the remote itself so I thought I'd post a picture of the remote hoping someone would recognize it and could provide some further information regarding the brand. I can't help you with the brand, but that remote has to communicate with a brain or control box that is wired in some way to the fuse panel and the control box probably has useful information on it about the brand and/or MhZ frequency used by the transmitter. When I installed the electric lock kit into my 79, I located the brain up above and left of the fuse and relay panel and adhered it to the front wall with 3M hook & loop Velcro. Maybe look in that area. You might also be able to take it to an auto-parts or stereo store and have them operate it and see if they can capture the frequency it's using to sell you another compatible one, even if it looks different. Frequency info might also be under the back cover of that fob where you'd replace the battery if you want to start by just popping it open, which would be the easiest.
