Congratulations on the nice score! For what his asking was, this is definitely worth it. Drive the heck out of it!

Thanks! It is absolutely ridiculous the maintenance which has been done on this car in the last 5K miles.

Oil Pan Gasket
Motor Mounts
Timing Belt
All Rollers
Water Pump
All Filters (Fuel, Air, Air Pump, Oil)
Fuel Pump (I think--- doing from memory)
AC Compressor
Cooling Fan
Fan Amplifier
And much more....

I'm cleaning the engine today and sound deadening my son's 924S with him (Mellow Father's day stuff)

The Driver Seat works but the fuse is out. I put the fuse in, adjusted the seat and pulled the fuse.

Have Nivea Baking in on the seats in the Florida sun. I think I can save them but do need a replacement skin for the passenger seat. (WTB Thread Started)

I have to look into Tensioner maintenance and adjustment. The T-Belt was done 6 years and 3K miles ago. Not worried about it but do want to check/adjust the tensioner.

Drove the witch for the first time in a while.... No new developments as we're busting our A$$ to get my son's 924S back together before he hits 16 in March (same time as Amelia Island/Rennwerks!)

...still excited with the "deal" I got on her!

Looks like the "Black Witch" put that "Save Me" spell on the right people!

It is great when a car becomes a family affair and everyone gets into the project.

The car is looking great - Congratulations and have fun!

Black Witch is moving up in the queue to get worked on. Pulled much of the interior tonight. So much dirt.

Oh well, going to be a FRANTIC President's Day weekend! We will have her ready for Werks Reunion which is THREE WEEKS away!

Updates throughout the weekend

Default Here we go... 3 Day Weekend

Well. Here's the current state of affairs....

center console will be coming out for fixing of vinyl which is curling. Lots to do including reconditioning doors, sound deadening throughout, new carpet, new seat covers, reinstall of amps and a new head unit. Plus looking forward to addressing heat through shifter.

More to Come...

Hey! The 924s is with the local guru. I screwed up the timing bad and he gets to fix it. Should hopefully be done next week!

Thanks!

Lots of WYAIT....

Re-do the felt on the buffers, re-glue the console and rebuild the rebuilt HVAC head unit.

Here's this 3 day weekend's list of projects in no specific order....

1. Cleaned Grounds (all but 2) - And thank you to the person who thought it was good to clip and then butt-connect the ground wires in two spots. When I have more time, I will absolutely be fixing the wires correctly with solder and heat shrink, not just butt connectors.
2. Replaced rear and front ground cables (Front - Porsche Part, Rear - 20" standard 2GA cable I had new in box)
3. Interior stripped except dash/pod, rear quarter panels and a bit of carpet.
4. Sound deadening (NOICO - Butyl Layer first followed by NOICO - Closed Cell Foam second) everywhere I wanted to put it (doors, floors, top of rear hatch area, spare tire well, etc...)
5. Oil Changed - my 15 year old LOVES changing oil - he didn't LOVE following Torq-U-lese the last person who put a ridiculous amount of torque on the drain plug and the filter. Had to use a breaker bar to get the drain plug off.
6. Calipers painted Red - makes the car faster
7. Rotor hats and dust shields painted flat black (because Rust color is too close to red)
8. Clamped/Repaired center console
9. New Window Switches
10. Took apart door motors and cleaned motor with Deoxit, cleaned and lubed Transmission and window track - lightning fast doors
11. Rear hatch seal
12. My wife scraped 100% of the tint off the car. WOW! Makes a huge difference but I have warped rear panels and don't know that there is a quick cosmetic fix.

Still cranking - I have about 3 or 4 more hours of "day" left in my "Holiday" - Going to do a wash of the CE Panel with DeOxit (if I have enough left) and likely changing most fuses (if I have them). I'll then start some electrical troubleshooting of a few things like Interior Lights and Central Locking.

I'll post plenty of pictures tomorrow.

The Black Witch has a strong engine but there's been lots of bizarre wiring and some catch up mechanical maintenance that I'm just working through.

I have a steady accumulation of S4 parts from years of ownership. Hard to define where to stop when I have parts in the "Stash"!

I have to be in the mood for mechanical and I expect I'll be in the mood soon!

Do red calipers make it go faster?

Or stop faster?

Looks fast sitting still

Before...........

And After (but before I paint letters white).........

My lovely wife getting into removing the tint.........

Note the sound deadening and the vapor barrier on the doors....

And a nice GREEN engine ground cable is just the start of the wire issues I found below the bottom of the engine...

More to come...
