PVGP 2018 - Registration Open
It's that time of the year again - 7 weeks out - The 36th annual Pittsburgh Vintage grand Prix! This has become a world class car event. Come join hundreds of your fellow p-car enthusiasts as we again gather on the lawn at Schenley Park to enjoy our cars and the races. Now is the time to register and get this event on your calendar.
FEATURE CAR - This year we are celebrating the Race Cars of Porsche with two very special cars - the RC Cola 962 and the Flying Lizard 911 GT3RS. You will want to see these cars up close - both significant race cars, including a podium finish at Le Mans (the GT3 RS in '05). We will also feature a handful of special Club race cars in a ring around the two pro cars.
The PVGP takes place in scenic Schenley Park in the heart of Pittsburgh. This is one of 2 vintage races that occur on public streets in the world, the other being Monaco. It is also a significant charity fundraiser – proceeds are donated through the PVGP to the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny Valley School.
Here are the highlights of the weekend activities to enjoy:
Friday, July 13:
General prices are as follows:
NOTE - due to the growth of this event, you must preregister to be guaranteed a spot on the lawn in the Porsche Corral. It also gets you the discount. Walk-on rate is $90 either day.
To Register, go to our Club's website at http://arpca.com/pvgp/2018-pvgp/. Limitations on refunds apply.
Contact me (Club event chair) with any questions – Ed Rice at pvgp@arpca.com or pm here on the list.

Ed, Looks like none of the Buckeye Landsharks are going to make it for Saturday or Sunday. Too many conflicts and missing work (for me). On another note, there is a good possibility my '86.5 (Blackie) may be coming to live in the Pittsburgh area. I should know as early as tomorrow. Keeping my figures crossed.

PVGP
Ed,
Jim Heisick from Lansing ('91 GT) and I'll be there. But, he's driving his F-150 truck to Pgh, and I'm driving the SL55. So, we'll come to PVGP in the SL55 AMG. We'll be parked just down the hill slightly from all you exciting Porsche 928 guys. Look forward to seeing y'all there next weekend.

Looking forward to seeing you Gary, and Jim too. We will again all meet for dinner at the Quaker Steak & Lube Saturday evening, and hopefully you guys can join us for that too. The 928 folks will be there, and some other stragglers as well!

Ed,
Thanks for the invite for Saturday evening. Hopefully we'll be able to get there and be 'among the stragglers'!! I assume that is the Steak and Lube at 1298 Freedom Road in Cranberry Twp, is that correct?
Cheers,
Gary
