Evaporator test?
So, MUCH refresh has been done over 12 years, such that I can think about incidentals like getting AC going again. The concern I have is that the AC lines to the evaporator havd been open for over a decade. Before I cave and pull the old evaporator, I thought I might test the old one for leaks. I’m not sure a vacuum test is enough(?). Perhaps the old evaporator should be tested with a pressure test? thoughts? mike 86.5 with Auto |
Pull a vaccum on it..
see if anything leaks... But a leaking evap is rather rare. |
Leak test it, flush it, add some oil, new O-rings, new expansion valve and call it good.

..and drier.
And if you have my problem...replace the rusty F'in high pressure switch before you fill it. ****. |
Exactly.
