POD ELECTRICS.
As I am sure some of you can relate, once you start making improvements, you want to eliminate all possible future problems by making pre-emptive improvements. I purchased the Lutz pod refit kit although there was nothing wrong with my guages in order to prevent a future problem with the 34 year old printed circuit. The printed circuit board is fully intact and operable, by the way.
I have finished the install which is ultra simple. It installs easily and looks great. The parts fit 100%. I will install the pod tomorrow and adjust the voltage pot before final installation. The results and pictures will be posted...
As a side note, I drilled a hole through the enclosure above the pot (with a fitted plug) so as to minimize the off and on during the installation.

OK men and women, the kit is installed and flawless in its operation. The only issue I had wasnt with the kit, but with the 1984 electric connectors which needed some cleaning and tweaking. I would advise anyone with gauge problems (or the desire to do pre-emptive maintainence, like me) to spring for the system. B. Lutz is the designer of the system and Roger the distributer. Both will go out of their way to give guidance and stand behind what they sell 100%.
