Just pulled down the subframe and replacing the motor mounts I found the studs on the new mounts are 8mm. How do you adapt them.

You're kidding right? How about the strength of the correct size? How about the stud torquing in the larger hole? Why the sarcasm?

I was concerned about the same when I put in the Volvo mounts. I torqued them a bit lower than the 10mm spec. The mounts have been great for going on three years. They set the engine about 1cm higher than stock, and this level hasn't changed at all since I installed them. I pried the studs as close to centered in the cross member holes as possible. No problems, no weird noises, and very smooth.

It wasnt sarcasm. The solution is an 8mm nut.

8mm studs, wont work well without 8mm nuts.

A hole..the stock 10mm stud uses PN 99902509102 to resolve that. Porsche calls it 'washer'. Use an 8mm one.
