Outlier or New Market Value?
I guess I haven’t seen many listings for 928’s sitting in a dealership....

Dash not cracked, seats look pretty good (can't really see a lot, though).
Reasonably low miles, engine looks pretty clean, jump post cap & cover are there.
I don't see it selling to a knowledgeable buyer for that much, but someone may pay it.
I'd want to see more interior pics and documentation on the work.

I don't watch prices that often but IMHO I'd say new market value. Related, that S4 on BAT at $34K w/ 59K miles I think is another indicator. Someone in the BaT comments described it as due to "911 fatigue."
It seems prices have doubled over the past 10 years; and most of that bump was in the past 2 years.

Given what’s happening on BaT it’s not priced into Wacko territory.

That's not a crazy asking price if it is as good as advertised and a PPI by a knowledgeable 928 mechanic bears that out.
Now if you want to see an outlier price, IMO, go no further than here...

This was BC's '86.5 that sold for $52K on BaT in April of 2016 and in my opinion was single handedly responsible for kicking off a wave of 928s selling on BaT later that summer. It was an outlier then and is still the highest sale price over there for anything other than a GTS.
The current asking price? $64,900! I think cars like this will get there, but IMO it's still a few years at the current pace.

Still up but marked down slightly, I think original asking was 28, but I don’t remember with certainty.
Not encouraging as to new market value, but it may not be getting a lot of exposure anywhere beyond local CL.

Now that's an interesting business model: Buy a car on BaT that set a record for the marque and then quickly try to flip it for an additional 10-20K? Hmmm...
