Default '86 MT into a '78 car
Guys, I need your help

I have a '78 manual transmission 928, in which the complete transmission is shot.

I came by a 86 MT in good condition, but will it fit my '78 car?

you can but you will need to make sure you get the matching year torque tube.

It’s more than just a torque tube change. The cross member is different as well as the shift rods
