Default Aero Mirror conversion wiring ?

Looking for some help on wiring Euro mirrors on a 1983 928s. I have read the GTS conversion write up and a few other threads, but haven’t found anything that pertains to my wiring. I do not have memory seats / mirror wiring or outside temp. I do have the heated mirror.
I have spent some time with alligator clips trying multiple configurations and haven’t been able to get both up/down along with side/side working. I get one or the other and usually the switch will move the mirror in two directions regardless of which of the four directions I push the switch.
I have figured out the red wire on the mirror moves the mirror up & down, blue wire side to side.
The wire harness has a total of 5 wires and the mirror only has 6. Any insight on what to do would be appreciated.

thanks Tony,

I read that write up and ordered my connectors and pins off the information provided. Unfortunately, the install was on a 1990 GTS and the wiring is a lot more and the color codes don’t pertain to what I am doing. I think I am missing something, since I can make the mirror move on all 4 axis, with only one of the red or blue wire connected at a time.

Thanks Hacker,
I have spent hours looking through threads and missed this one. I will install a relay tomorrow and give it a try.

Thanks again to Hacker for pointing me to Alan’s write up. Big thanks to Alan, I have been saved numerous times by your write ups.

Installed the relay per Alan's outline and played around with alligator clips to get the correct configuration. My setup uses the black and white combined on the mirror attached to the switch colors yellow (drivers) and blue (passenger) everything works great, switch works perfect.
I used a jumper off the yellow wire in the mirror plug to power the white and the black.

Glad it worked out. Can you reply to that thread with the actual wiring details you ended up with - without a car to practice on I didn't know which was which between the planes (up/down & L/R)

Thanks & enjoy!

I recalled from years back it was a pretty easy conversion, then after buying the mirrors, getting them painted up I was in a panic since every thread I found basically stated it was impossible without re-wiring the whole car.

Then by luck I found the thread in question. I have yet to install them so I don't have the complete wiring information to post up.

S4(+) is easy - just wire mapping. Pre S4 is not easy and needs the relay.
