My 85' 928 Euro arrived today (pics)
My car made it safely up the East Coast after coming from a really hard hit area in SC. I haven't seen it yet, but the wife sent me a few pics. Unfortunately, the drivers side window is stuck down (happened the day it was loaded), so I will have to get that sorted. Hopefully a relay or something simple. I will post more pics and first impressions after I get to see and drive it. Thanks to everyone on here that guided me throughout this process.

Thanks everyone. I am looking forward to making her road worthy, and bringing all service up to date.
At the very least, it will need all fluids, timing belts, water pump, new rubber, plugs, filters replaced.
Then, I'll likely have the paint corrected and I'll fully detail it.
I'm also thinking about putting a set of Speedline wheels on it. My plan is to keep it completely OEM otherwise.
I have my 977 Turbo for when I need to go freakish fast!

gorgeous example. Looking forward to seeing it finished, after you've done the things to it that you are planning. I think you'll find it pretty fast in its own right, not 997 T territory, but a sharp weapon nontheless

Some intial feedback on the car so far
it’s a solid car it let’s just say the seller mis represented quite a bit.
I took it for a shake down ride and it ran well and tracked fairly straight. Brakes seem alright. Tires are shot but that was disclosed to me.
Now for the stuff I’ve found.
Rock chip in windshield
interior lights don’t work. Fuse keeps popping. Apparently on same circuit as clock as that’s out
drivers window goes down but not up. I think switch is issue as it fell apart in my hand
dash lights very dim. I’ll tackle rheostadt and clean
voltmeter not showing a charge on dash
rear hatch switches inop (was disclosed)
rear wiper inop (was disclosed)
power seats won’t slide all the way forward. Seem stuck
I’m looking forward to bringing this old girl back to glory. I’ll do what I can at home and then to my Indy mechanic for the rest.
Underneath looks relatively dry.

BTW, what's a 977? Gotcha! j/k, enjoy them both.
The stuff you mention is common, and minor to fix. A bit of wiring, and lube on the seat, new switch work, detailing and tires and wheels. Get it up in the tach later and it's going to surprise you with its sprightliness.

Thanks guys...
I'm up for the challenge. I already have started digging into it.
Have the console apart, fuse panel open and will start tracing faults with my multimeter next.

Interior lights could also be melted insulation. The black roof gets really hot in the summer sun. It's possible that the heat melted the insulation on the wires and they are shorting to metal.
