ELECTRIC SEAT WHOES, OR GHOST.
Ok took car out today and while, waiting for my kid to come out of practice I decide to recline the driver SEAT and catch up on eye lid maintenance practice over and the SEAT won't return to the upright position, all directions on the switches work except for the one that returns the SEAT to the upright position, anyway drive home put car in the garage go to work come home the SEAT is in the upright position now, MAGIC, Not now there is no tension on the back rest, other words if you sit in the car and accelerate you would fall into the back seat , my ideas.

Take the seat out, put it in its side and very carefully dismantle the switch. Try not to lose the little metal ***** and springs. Should just be a case of cleaning the metal contacts - had much the same on a 964 seat years ago.

Before you do that and that is most likely what's needed in the end, place some rags under the switches to protect the carpet, remove the switch cover and spray some WD-40 into the switches.
This has worked for me in the past, also some dialectic grease on the ***** will assist keeping them in place for reassembly.
