Kind of half-assed, if I'm honest. It keeps water out. I need to get a spare piece of the metal strip and cut it down to fill that 4" gap between the end of the top framing piece and where the bottom piece ends.

Crisis is over! I revisited the 1982 Euro at Over The Edge Automotive and scored all of the door seals that I needed and those I didnt need. Also pulled the HVAC motors and actuators, HVAC blower fan, wiper motors, headlight buckets, A pillar covers, starter, bell housing cover, hood seals, front wheelhouse splash covers, many screws/etc. The car has all of the window glass, rear quarter glass trim, all interior panels, seats (that need to be recovered), and front suspension arms/struts/swaybar.
It was worth the money and time.
Does anyone have a exterior temp sensor (mounts ahead of the driver front wheel) that they wouldnt mind selling?

I inadvertently made a new post about the guide/seals.
FYI, put them in cold (not softened by the sun) in a cold (not warmed by sunlight) car with windex. Center them in the opening and leave the triangular guide positions to be determined by the cutout in the guide itself. The locations of the cutouts vary.
