On my '81, I had to do extensive Tig welding on it to fix numerous areas from previous 'hack job' speaker installations, and, sadly subsequent cracking. As you can see, I do not cut any corners; this door needed a new inner handle mechanism (the one that breaks all the time), so I completely gutted it, plastic media blasted in-house (drblast com) epoxy primed it, welded, re-applied epoxy where needed and decided to KEEP my rub strips -- yes, KEEP them! Let me look for some photos...I absolutely hate how Apple decides how best to handle organizing my photos I take with their phones, I am still clinging to my Blackberry Passport until the end!

If you are considering yourself retarded, I am barely self aware.

I have seen this car in person and the fab work done in deleting the rub strips is top notch, the sides are smooth and flat and you wouldn't know they were deleted unless told. The paint work is excellent, Kevin is going to enjoy this car!
