Default New Newbie Newest - w/ questions

Hello All. Thank you ALL for the Ah-Mazing site! Without knowing Y'all were here, I dont know if I would have taken this on..
Clearly - I'm new. I got a little ahead of myself. I started a thread already (see link) and jumped right in, anxious to get going bringing this 86 Prussian Blue S3 (I think its and S3?) with 54K back to life... Please, check the link. I have a ton of questions and am ALLLLL ears. So much wisdom, experience and great guidance here. I'm stoked.

Car has been parked for years, needs lots of love and attention... My lady dumped me, so, I gotta find someThin to give some love and attention to, lol, omg...

BTW - there are a few more of these 928's, a couple Jags, Aston Martins and some other stuff back here too. Long story. NYC area. Just let me know.

Welcome Jay. I tell ya what, that car looks to be in sneaky good condition. A shop vac and some leather/vinyl cleaner and It'll be night and day.

As for getting it started for the first time I came across this post from Hilton when trying to get mine ready to start for the first time in 10 years.

I more or less followed his advice to a tee, and it worked out great for me. As you are already finding out there is tons of help here and any thing that you need to fix has literally been fixed and documented by someone here.

Hey GT6ixer! Thank you.... Amazing post. I'll follow and, I'll follow the gas tank directions for sure. I know it satt without a cap for a while. All of that stuff is good practice. In both the last two cars I brought back from the brink, in the process, I got to know every square inch of the cars, then there was the 1000 feet I didn't get to know, yet, lol. Jaguars are interesting creatures. I'll never by a "new" new car again. Of that I am sure. Its reassuring that I have this forum!!!

Yes! It is a really nice thing! Amazing color. I know it will clean up well. SUper excited here! I dont know if you saw, but there is a really rough spot on the back PSide corner. I suspect I will be trying my hand at some bodywork with the help of all of the sources the internet provides. Loving it.

LOVE the beard. Growing one myself over here on the right coast. Talk soon...
