Default no fire to injectors

Ok, throw some knowledge at me

82 manual. Fires and shuts right down. Hooked up noid light and have no fire to injectors at all.

where do I start? What’s the firing sequence?

last thing performed was a top end refresh, all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and also replaced temp sensor and sender ( wires were gunky) . Also did a CE panel refresh.
More details are in my great white thread.

perhaps this has been my power loss issue, and whatever was failing finally bit the dust:

any ideas?

Still don’t know what the weird wire is for but...

update! SHE RUNS!!!!

shout out to Dr. Scott Smith! He got in touch with me and talked me through troubleshooting.

Wrong relay in the socket for the fuel injection! Who knew?

hope that was my cutting off issue when I had it running last, a year ago!

Broken green wire is for the O2 sensor.

I’m gonna try! of course, I get it running, and have to go out of town for work.....pisser. Look at my great white thread and check out my looooong list.

If can get it mechanically and electrically solid, I’ll bring her. She needs interior and exterior work too!

gotta focus on the basics.....and the stereo...lol.

I'm doing the same to my 81. The outside can look like crap for all I care so long as it is mechanically and electronically sound to the point I wouldn't worry driving it cross country.

I also installed a semi period ADS stereo that has near 1000 watts rms. Complete overkill, but why not

To me, cars are more fun to drive than look at. Nobody wants a lawn ornament.

Back on topic.

It's great to hear that you got her running again, the L jet system is simple and rarely fails, unlike CIS or LH jet. And when it runs, it runs smooth as silk as you are soon to find out on it's first long distance drive.

Thanks Blake.

this one looks great from 10 feet back, not so much the closer you get...the seats and dash are ratty, but low in priority right now.

im going with a double din android nav / dvd unit, it’s a flat face design, all touch screen. I have one of Al’s kits. I have pics of it somewhere in the great white thread.

^^ My 81 is a 20 footer with the right lighting on the right side of the car. Darker the lighting the better

Lol...well, 10 feet is an estimate, and I am a bit biased, because I love it....
