Festival of Speed at Cal Speedway /Auto Club Speedway 4-20-2018 w 928s - VIDEO UP
The Famous Festival of Speed at Cal Speedway is being held this year in April. I heard a rumor that a 928 or two might be attending to race. There are also more stock groups running there as well. anyone in the LA area planning to attend? I'm seriously considering going back for the event with my 928. Its supposed to be one of the biggest PCA events of the year and POC is running under their club rules. Lot's of porsches for sure!

Anyone planning on going besides Mark? i want to come down, but i almost feel like i dodged a bullet after my last race weekend there, with all the motor destruction talk. it is THE worse conditions for the engine, based on all we talk about. longest high RPM duration, highest RPM duration and highest G loads and duration.
Plus, its a heck of a long drive to get down there.... no one else with a 928 racer, going to come out and play?? Mk |
I don’t own a 928 racer anymore.....sean did talk about coming down in April with a trailer? What about dr Rob? |

If my 81 wasn't in pieces and my 89 didn't have 202K miles on an untouched engine I would race there or at least attempt it lol.
I may go just for fun as it isn't to far from me compared to most of you guys. |
I will be there with my 91 GT. Haven't planed on racing it and it is definitely not a race car. But if I can get a couple of things sorted out I assume its a possibility

Mark Kibort, seems like you should put the red racer out there in front of the pca crew so they can appreciate it, even of you don't run. Though i dont really know the politics of it, being so removed. Its always fun to sit here and see the 928 racer footage, whethr is coke car, white zombie, red kibort, Australia, Ireland rally, etc! |
Joe Fan's number 62. Been around for years but not driven as much as Mark A's car. Greg B stroker ,Threshie intake, accusump not drysump. Stockish rear suspension. Pretty fast car 😎

Can you say more about that car? Either here or in another thread? I must have missed it if you'e already posted about it.
