No 89 Euro. Motor is too fresh and still has some gremlins to work out before it's ready for a long trip. Daniel is likely coming in his *** Dragger.

I changed oil on the 87, put the door cards back on, installed a new mini sub and put the belly pans back on. I'm going to leave the PKT as is, just no time to tackle this now. The only other thing I'm going to do before leaving is to lower the ride height from 170 down to 160 and get it aligned and balanced.

See you all next Friday!

Discovered a crack in the fitting on the top of the radiator to the overflow tank. Said where is this puddle of coolant from after my last drive, saw a couple drips. wiggled the threaded in barb fitting and then it was 2 pieces. Ordered a replacement that will be here for this weekend. as M10x1.5 to hose barb is not the easiest thing to find locally.

Washed it yesterday and am planning to do the annual full detail over the next few nights - clay bar, polish, wax, then seal.

May drive it with the current modified v2 intake or tackle the v3 upgrade next week depending on when the parts arrive. Current one is limiting intake airflow and boost, but looks nice

Looking forward to another year. Bringing the 86 and 87 again. 87 going to the shop on Thursday for a AC charge. 86 driver mirror fell off two weeks ago so I get to tear the door down to get it fixed.

Getting there. Clay bar and polish steps complete. Tomorrow night wax & seal.

Next week interior and maybe Cold Air Intake depending on what parts arrive when.

Looking good! Look forward to seeing it again in person. BTW, been meaning to get with you about CAI stuff, I have a DXF file for you to get radiator plate made.

Sorry I haven't touched base with you sooner, I have been distracted with some procedures the past few months, only have one BIG one left in the morning and I am cleared for SITM.

See ya soon,

Dave

Thanks Dave, I made my v2 plate currently installed with my drills, plasma cutter, and band saw out of 2x2 angle iron. I'm looking at redoing it with a closed single input airbox that draws through the driver's side fender well, the problem with the dual front intake concept being the short distance between the radiator plate and the input to the supercharger in my 79 along with the hard lines of the fuel distributor being in the way of being able to do a Y plenum that runs parallel to the radiator rather than being angled 20-30 degrees. I'm not sure if I'll get my version 3 intake put together before Sharks, but if not, might take some measurements off of some cars that are running your filters and see what I can work out.

See you soon.

Unfortunately, Tim Murphy and I will not be able to fit this much beer in the car this year as I was able to smuggle across the state line back in 2010 (there were 5 more cases in the car when this photo was taken).

However, we'll do our best to bring some of the best beer from Green Bay.
