I'm not sure about that. I get plenty of heat migrating up through the console area where the window switches area with the 6-speed Z06 setup in my '79. Very nice hand warmer in the winter, but less nice in the summer .

Sounds like you're in good shape then. I think my foam piece was removed.

Sterling --

Looks like the modified cross-member for the new gearbox means you lose the rear center lift point, unless there's a supplementary section that crosses under the gearbox. Looks like you have a good excuse to add a lift.

I'll throw out the idea of keeping the car on a castered dolly rather than the suspension and wheels. Once wheels go on then wheel dollies are good. If you don't have a large workbay with room to work on everything at the same time, the tub on big casters is way easier to move around vs. just fore-and-aft on the tires. One of our 'listers has a small 12V ATV winch bolted to a wall plate front-and-center in his workbay, exclusively for pulling the car up into the garage. Good thing to have if the garage sits higher than the rest of the driveway.

It also looks like someone's adapter for the ATI dampers doesn't fit & I had to chisel out a munged crankshaft key. Got a new crank seal, the new key installed and timing belt gear installed on the crank Rounding up parts and grouping them by assembly order is a pain but productive.

Did you get the hub up to 250F before trying to install it? It's the only way to get Gregs on the crank. No clue on Carls.

I guess that a pair of oven mitts is now considered standard equipment on your roll around work tray for handling Harmonic Balancers?

There is an even older attempt at using the ATI units. I wonder if that hub will work as well.
