Custom gauges (mostly for those with forced induction)
As I drive my car more with its recently installed turbo, I find myself wanting more gauges. But, I don't want to clutter up the dash and I want to be able to very quickly return it to stock appearance.
Has anyone used something like this:
https://www.theonegauge.com/
Or found a better alternative? I like that the main computer can be hidden and then I can connect to it over bluetooth. I would probably get a small dedicated tablet that automatically powers on and off with the ignition. It seems like a pretty cost effective and flexible system.

I don't have any experience with that, but I'm not a lover of large screens in my classic cars.
I made a custom panel that replaced my ash tray and holds the AFR and boost gauges.

I did something along those same lines, however I added three gauges, Amp, oil temp., and vacuum. I've also seen the second pic. A little harder to see while driving but it works.

Those are very nice installations. Great ideas. I'm all about being able to:
1) Return the car to completely stock with no holes or permanent modifications left behind.
2) Being able to give it the appearance of stock very quickly and easily for the purposes of displaying it.
But, the further I get on my projects, the less I care about #2
Thanks for the photos and ideas. I'll have to sit in the car and noodle on it a bit.

I like the idea of the oil temp gauge. I might replace my ambient temp gauge with that one. Where did you install the pickup and sending unit in the oiling system - oil pan?

I have a PLX DM-6 and have played with it but not installed it yet (its on the list) - was thinking to install it in a singe integrated A-pillar pod and use it for Crank vacuum, back pressure after vacuum pump, oil temp etc. I don't have any experience running it on the car though.
Idea is a single reconfigurable gauge you can use for many different sensors - of course you can only see one thing at a time... but you could also have more than one...

Mine was an electric gauge. I installed the sensor in a modified oil drain plug. The ideal location would be the return line from the cooler to the pan. That would be more accurate and would eliminate waiting on warm up. I always wanted to add a second sensor in the transmission or differential with a switch between the two. But I never got around to it.

The only extra gauge in my car that is visible is the eboost2 boost controller. It is mostly used to select the boost program, but it also displays the vacuum/boost level and, if wanted, the engine rpm. (Turbo speed sensor gauge that is only used for development is in the glovebox.)

Zada Tech makes a lot of small custom OLED gauges which are pretty easy to implement in the factory clock location.
