Spring Fling Apr 20-22, 2018 UPDATES post #7
Tony C has relocated to Tucson, AZ and to continue the Rockport, TX / Corpus Christi area Spring Fling Tradition Barbara and Herman K will be coordinators for the 2018 event to held on the Texas coast. Last year we (Roger's daughter) Mercedes and Miguel got married in Rockport and this year we look forward to help them celebrate their 1st anniversary among st other activities.
As the Rockport area got hit by hurricane Harvey late last year and a lot of rebuilding is still going on we are looking right now at the best places available for lodging etc. Spring Fling will go on so set your calendars for April 20-22, 2018 and be square, be there! We will have updates for accommodations and other activities ASAP. (Admin: please make this post a sticky) |

Event Update - Accommodations and event plans
I have checked out the Lighthouse Inn in Rockport and like most other hotels in Rockport they are still rebuilding (see picture)and it does not look like they will be open in time to host "Spring Fling 2018"
As I believe that this great group of Porsche 928 owners deserves a great weekend, I have opted for this years event to take place at the OMNI hotel in Corpus Christi. Fantastic accommodations and top notch dining in their roof top "Republic of Texas" dining room. (see all the pictures) So the event schedule will be as follows;

I'm glad you are keeping the event alive. The OMNI looks like a great venue. I have a business trip starting that weekend so it's not looking good for me, but I'll let you know if plans change and I can make it. |
I'm not sure if we will be making it again this year. Have a couple of trips planned around that time already. Will know as we get closer.
