Wow what a great event! Curt and Nancy, thanks so much for a really fun weekend - you did a fantastic job and it is very much appreciated. Thanks also to the other attendees, all 928 veterans who welcomed this relatively new owner. Captain Slow and I got a chance to swap intake horror stories with happy endings. A special mention to Worf928 who got my car finished (one day before!), running like a watch, and finally giving it a chance to stretch out on the "medium" fun run. And 15 beautiful cars. Can't wait for next year!

The most interesting non-928 at the show.

Yes, meticulously restored by my friend and brass quintet leader Doug McLain, whose grandkids helped (?) pulling raffle tickets. It got an article in Hemmings this year. But while getting a box of fossils down from a shelf for one of the grandkids last winter, he lost his balance - he, the box and the ladder all fell down on the hood. I've been trying to convert him to the full-size German Corvette.
We're tired, but I'm sad that we have to wait an entire year before the next Camp 928. We had 16 928s and 20 owners. It seemed like more, given all the intense activity in the garage. I'll be posting a big "thank you" later, but of course, the big one goes to Nancy.

Hah! Just try to stop it. "Jay, think you can get in it?" "Of course." Pretty sure he regretted it - very little room in the passenger side. It was ready to clear the driveway of any non-running cars, but that proved unnecessary.
Bob V got to drive the "real" Porsche of the era around the lake ('82 911). Brian - or was it Charlie? everything is a blur now - got a ride in the Bugeye. So, everything from 1400 lbs to 13,500 lbs. All survived.

Camp 928 2018 was a smashing success, thanks to Curt and Nancy's generous hospitality and hard work, and all of the great folks attending. Oh, and the cars, the spectacular weather, and some great driving roads. Dave, Charlie and I even managed a Sunday "fun run" on the way back to Boston, thanks to Google Nav finding what seemed to be every back road in Eastern NY and Southern VT.
And yes, I got a ride in Curt's death trap, er, Bugeye Sprite. What a blast! Edit: Next year, can I have a ride in the Smart car?
Curt and Nancy know how to put on a fun, low key event with something for everyone, and at a location that is perfect for our cars. The Camp 928 clubhouse was icing on the cake. I'm already looking forward to next year!

A big THANK YOU from a happy "camper" to Curt and Nancy for organizing and hosting this event.
Back home in Eskimo-land after spending a near perfect weekend at Curt's place with a nice bunch of 928 fanatics. Curt's new "office" was universally admired and envied by most of us. Only in it's 2nd year but as well organized as it can get. Even the weather they've ordered was delivered on time and exactly as ordered - talk about management skills. See you all next year !!!
Entrance to the shrine.
The office
Nnnice
Another view from the top.
One more.
Showing off in Chestertown.
Then & Now
Even Curt/Nancy's private corner was rented out to "civilized" campers for the weekend. Thank you !!!

Fun run video
Here is a shortened version of the Fun Run led by Dave C. The original is 7 minutes long, but I shortened it to ~ 45 sec, best parts are the exhaust notes....I was following Brian’s Euro 928.

Dinner with our camp hosts
Curt and Nancy
I forgot the name of this place...but they were ready for us and the food was great. About an hour before dinner, while still at the car show, I heard Tony talking to the restaurant...giving them a heads up that a big group was coming. Well played Tony!

BIG THANK YOU to Curt & Nancy for setting up and hosting this marvelous event. Great to see the ol' crew and meeting a few of the new 28'rs. Plan on coming up again next year T
Hey, this isnt the place...these aren't 928's. Picked up Tom at BDL and spotted these Citroen's on the way to Camp and had to stop.
Curt and Nancy's great new garage and Bertrand's beautiful Cobalt Blue 91 S4 we never tire of seeing.
Curt turns the bill of his cap around and had at it !
Start of driveway was as far as we wanted to go in the rental "bla" as Curt calls it. Parked it in the woods...deep in the woods.
Long fun run was....fun !
Jay's got this US 79 5spd dialed in for the twists..what a blast. Thanks again for the ride Jay.
As payback for driving at breakneck speeds on the fun run, Jay squeesed himself into the pass side of the MOG. Curt gave him a ride up the driveway at non breakneck speed and get this....,low range, 1st gear, egnice at max rpm....wait for it .6mph !!
Hi, My name is Bob V. I like 928's and cookies.
Late night at the Pine Tree ZZZzzzzzzz
