I'll be heading out noon tomorrow , and should get to Chestertown ~ 4:30. Front Coupler is wired up and just put ~ 300 miles on it and shifts fine....for a McGyver fix!

Well my WP went again. That's 5 in 10 years. Good news is I'm still going (have to, Friends of the Lake doesn't give refunds). Bad news, I don't feel right leading the fun-run in anything but a 928. Call me old fashion but that's the kind of guy I am Any takers? Sorry Curt

Thom, the good news is that you aren't posting this from the shoulder of the Throgs Neck Bridge.

There was already a rumor that your former water pumps are filing a class action lawsuit against you for abuse and defamation. Good luck with the old "there must be something in the water" defense.

Very glad you're coming anyway. We'll figure something out for the Fun Run, get someone trained on doing U-turns on busy state highways.

Damn, I've already eaten two of the donuts I bought for the weekend.

Sorry for your woes, but what brand water pump(s), to stay the hell away from those. TIA.

Stopped in At the Saratoga Auto Museum on the way up, they have 50s and 60s cars on display. Just got into Pine Tree Motel. Total ~ 4 hours, not bad!

Hurry on over. The donuts are almost gone. Just moved the 'mog into welcoming position, though you may find it intimidating instead.

Have only one so far. Two coat hangers were sacrificed to make Bob's trip possible.

Had to turn on the heat for the garage.

Took the S4 out for a 50 mile test drive, up and over the Blue Ridge on Rt. 7 (the same ridge near the end of the Frenzy Fun Run). Very impressed with how the car runs with cleaned injectors and all the new parts involved in the top end refresh. Smoother, quicker response, and more torque and power. First impressions fade into the new normal quickly, but it sure was fun this afternoon. I also put the plastic belly pan on for this trip (haven't yet transferred the duct towers to the aluminum pan). Big noise reduction with it installed. I'm guessing engine noise reflecting off the pavement is reduced. Happy the cruise control is still working as before the top end refresh. Packed some tools and fluids for the car. Packing a cooler for me in the morning...mulling over what camping stuff to bring. Plan to leave between 8:00-9:00am tomorrow.

That's excellent, Jon. The cabin has become available, way back. We'll be setting up a tent or two, with cots, near the campfire area. Now, where is my setup crew?
