Just got a room. He said he has 11 rooms reserved at that rate so far. Maybe I'm off, but I sensed a certain tentativeness is his voice, so I'm not sure how many more he'll add to the group rate.

Recommend not waiting too long... or whoever called in the first place (SteveG ?), perhaps give 'em a call and see how many he's willing to add.

Copy on Duke's for the immediate post event gathering. Do wee need to call them? I'm happy to if no one has.

Dukes; Probably wouldn't hurt to give them a call closer to the date. But, we didn't need to last year and they had plenty of room for us. Even when we straggled in a little at a time.

I'm not sure if there is quota beyond which he would not honor; Nick certainly didn't say that to me. Two weeks ago Otto said 9. There is no master list, although Otto did ask people to RSVP to him (when we were still waiting on White Rose). Regardless, it is not something anyone can control, as people add themselves without notifying anyone. And that is as it should be, we want to max the number. I think if anyone is still on the fence they should call and say they heard there is a group rate (mention "928" Nick thought that was cool) and negotiate or make a res, establishing what the cnx policy is with the motel. That is set by each establishment.

Robin and I got the last room. The group ended up taking 12 rooms. The Red Roof Inn is directly across the street.
