Bob: So . . . . priorities, food over Hershey.

Guys, since I retired, I spend 6 months at my our summer home in Scarborough, Maine and my wife and I have gotten involved with the local Down East Maine PCA club. This gala is a big event for the club, so my wife and I are supporting the event. For little old Maine, the DE Maine Club have scheduled a "Porsches in the Park" car show in Portland for July along with Patrick Dempsey to raise money for his Dempsey Center which gives support to cancer patients in Maine. I think more people come out to see him than the cars, but that's OK as it helps raise money for a good cause.

Sounds like an excellent event Bob. We'll miss you, but you'll be having car fun too, plus a movie star to boot - actually, a pretty darn good racer. I loved Dempsy's "Chasing Lemans" series on HBO a couple years back.

Bob: My comment is with some salt grains. Ed is more diplomatic than me. I understand your loyalty, hence the emoticon. In a perfect world, Porsche clubs would not step on each others events.

Go ahead and attend your fancy snob nosed, big time Hollywood society charity event! We hope you choke on your Caviar and Dom Perignon Champagne while kissing Patrick Demsey's butt! We'll be just fine, enjoying our beers while freezing in the rain, in the parking lot of the flea bag 1/2 star motel in Hershey!!

Who is staying where this year. So far I know some are at the White Rose and others including myself are at the Rodeway Inn.

Rodeway, but seeing its reviews, wishing it was the White Rose. Hope its fine, but nothing some swigs of scotch can't cure.

For better or for worse, I think just about everybody is at the Rodeway. I am an extremely lucky man because my wife enjoys Hershey, the PVGP and Frenzy as much as I do but I fear that our stay at the Rodeway may be brief. We shall see.

I just noticed a post above where I said I'm in at the Rodeway. I told Matt I was at the White Rose. But in a post previous post I asked about the Red Roof and someone gave me that address.

So, basically, I have no idea where I'm staying, but I'm daggone booked somewhere!
