That one is cool.
I liked this one too "I tell you is not going to fit!"

the actual caption on the last pic should have been "Some tech farted under the hood, and there was no place for it to go.... How do we get it out?"

Pic 82. Caption reads:

Each car leaving the engine installation is sitting like a 4x4 jeep with risers. Each car runs over the metal ramps to make the shocks/suspension settle downward.

Some friends and I are trying to discern what year these are from. Spider intake says they are 1984 or earlier. 911SC means 1983 or earlier. The 911 slantnose is a Sonderwunsch Flachbau I think available starting in 1982 (although apparently one was produced in 1981).

Based on this I think we are in 1982 or 1983. To me the clue should be the front brakes of the 928 which can be viewed on a couple of photos. I seem to recall the 1983-84 928 front brakes were different (larger?) than the 1982 brakes. Is anyone good enough to spot the difference?

944 didn't come out until 83.

In the US. But for Europe it came out in 1982.

I think the 928 is still the key to solve the puzzle.

The 911 engines pictured are 3.2 with Bosch motronic inj., the earliest for those was 1984.
