Default Brake pedal actuator dust cap

How much (if any) effect does the small dust cap on the brake pedal actuator going into the booster have on maintaining vacuum in the booster itself?

I just noticed mine is torn pretty much all the way around and I am wondering if this contributes to my loss of vac when I press the pedal.

thanks

scott

Hey Scott, I think you have the wrong picture. That looks to me like the pedal linkage for the clutch master cylinder.

Here is the booster mounting and pedal boot on the Red Witch:

Yes sir you are correct - I was excited that maybe I had found a solution (without taking the booster out)...

Oh well -
