Default Belated Xmas - 8/9” et60 Club Sport wheels

With the weather being 10 degrees or less the past two weeks, you can only watch so much Velocity TV...so you end up buying things:

Rotors/caps spark plugs and oil filter from Roger on sale.....thanks

Super bright led bulbs for the GT after reading Alex’ write up....thanks

Bunch of new microfiber for the spring cleaning season...

Browsing Ebay and craigslist for what ever 928....and!

Porsche wheels 5x100 adapters - $800 (Brookfield)

image 1 of 2

Sellng a set of staggered d90 Porsche wheels with 5 100 adapters fit perfect on mk3 vw rear wheels are 9" wide tires are almost new Falken 205/40r16 trades considered.
Texted back and forth and asked if front were 8”....yes, asked if et60 both front and rear....yes, told him I don’t need adapters and tires....ok, $650!

PRICELESS!

wheels are very clean, but have been painted, but very acceptable. Not sure if I’ll have them stripped and painted or reanodized?

oh well back to Craigslist since it’s only 4 degrees out and even the dog doesn’t want to go out!

I would verify they are actually 8" with the part number. Most 8" wide "Clubsports" are really just Slot wheels that have been milled.

Bertrand, I know, I just got rid of the manhole cover rims from my 89 and 18" Turbo twists last year. Now I have the Carrera III on the car and D90s from when I bought the GT, but just couldn't pass up the Club Sports at that price!

Thom, the adapters he had were vw/Audi 5x100 adapters. Same set up as the TT. They probably would fit it! I’ll have to check the ET. Just put new tires on the TT though 😕

Nice find!

Out poor dog doesn't like the cold either, she runs out and immediately back in.

No messing around.

I'm lucky that shes trained well enough to go out by herself so all I have to do is open the door for her

It's 1 here. Darn cold!

Wheels cleaned up very nicely. Now just need to decide if they will make their way onto the GT at some point. I will need 18mm adapters to probably have them fit right for the rears.

Andrew, I’m due for new tires this spring, might just get a set for the CS wheels. Are Pirelli and Continental the only companies making the 245/45 and 225/50 in 16” ?
Which is best? I don’t think Michelin makes those sizes?

Great score Bob. And yes, these sub zero temps are terrible for web browsing - I now have a whole list that I'll soon be dropping a big dime on too!
