RacingBrakes.com products are amazing!
Putting on the RacingBrakes.com Rotors on my race car has been one of the best mods yet. now, instead of them cracking out in a half of a season, they last a full 2 seasons
it has to do with their metalurgy and casting methods. (horizontal vs vertical as most common suppliers use). this provides strength and wear consistancy that i havent seen before on any cars i race with. they have a 2 piece design for every need (sans the early cars) . this means you can use a stock caliper and run the stock rotors with 2 piece design, bump it up to a GTS diameter (322mm) or go a little bigger and use the 330 or even 332mm rotors...........the only mod if you have an S4, would be to use simple washers (machined spacers) to push out the calipers the appropriate amount for an S4 to use a 330mm rotor or a GTS to use a 330 or 332 mm rotor. im going to cal speedway with these rotors for their last race after providing 2 full racing seasons on the front of my race car. they might be good for longer but i dont want to take any chances and have bought new rotor rings for the remainder of the season. This is my 3rd set of the rings in the past few years and they work great. one of the side benifits of the Rotors , is the cost. big advantage over Brembo and brembo equivalent set ups and its better. check out the link for versions available to use as 928'ers. http://www.racingbrake.com/category-s/7365.htm https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...d148dacfc8.jpg RB rotor rings https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...7137029636.jpg the brembo, older RB and new RB rotors air inlet designs https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...2b4d9ee00b.jpg 330mm rotors on the car using the stock S4 style calipers https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...7832574fbd.jpg old vs new RB designs since 2 years ago https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...e797b650f9.jpg http://www.racingbrake.com/category-s/7365.htm |

Mark, how much did you pay for two rotors?
The listed non-sale price is $900; that's like, a million dollars more than stock rotors! :D |

I have Big Reds from a 993TT on the front which are 2-piece with hats. I did not see an option for just replacement rotors.

You don't have to machine (or Kibort grind) a S4 caliper for the larger radius?
yes, you do need to do a little grind on the S4 calipers for the 322mm rotors (which are the GTS diameter). very minor though with the 330mm, it was a little extreme.. i did it, but it wasnt optimal. However, when switching to the 964 turbo calipers, you get a S4 Pad caliper, but the feet on the caliper have built in spacers, (taller) and they are radiused as well too. basically, you get a GTS caliper that is not as deep and uses S4 pads. whatever your combination , RB.com can provide the rotor and hat combo. |
