How to get most possible coolant drained from heater?

as long as you flush the system again later, a garden hose has enough pressure to blow through any accumulated crap but not break any cooling system parts.

good idea as mentioned above to backflush the radiator - hose works good for this too, plug the little ports and stick the hose in the "lower rad hose outlet" and force the water out the "upper rad hose inlet", you won't believe the **** that comes out.

did that on my 944 and avg running temps dropped 20 degrees.
