Looking for a blower resistor in good condition.

If you rewire the socket (move some wires around) - you can use a later blower resistor...

If you've already got one that's misbehaving, you might also try to recondition it.

Thanks for the advice. I just purchased a used resistor from 928 intl. It's for a 1992 928. What's the procedure for rewire? Can you sketch out a schematic for me?

I think you have '89-'93 version: 928.616.101.00 but if you do have the '94-'95 resistor pack: 928.616.101.01 - you can also refer to this thread as well:
