Let the cleaning begin! Get the lump onto an engine stand if you can, so it doesn't roll over and crush your ankles and feet accidentally. That also makes disassembly and resealing a LOT safer and easier.

What Bob says and and doing everything that is needed on the engine after 39 years. I have been wanting to pull it for 8 years now and i had a opportunity to get a free space in a garage from an old friend this winter.
- Found some leaking oil and vacuum hoses already.
- Pulling headers to give it a check.
- Putting in new sockets.
- Putting in new waterpump and timing belt.
- Putting in new fuellines.
- Putting in new clutch disks.
Clean the crap out of it. etc. etc.
