In high school my fathers '49 Mercury had shaved door handles with a button under the front bumper to activate a solenoid.
One day he came outside after work to find two kids, one pushing the button over and over while the other slammed the door shut.

A bit off topic, but those rear flares reminded me of Herbie Herbert's car (Journey manager/Nocturne Productions).
Anyone know the car or what happened to it? Last time I saw it was when it was sitting at Devek, sometime around the mid '90's. As I recall, it was an early car with beautifully done hand made flares (as opposed to the instant example) with, maybe 315's (?) on the rear.

Holy wide bodies Batman. I used to see a wide body running around down here in Florida that someone did the Testarossa side treatment to.
LOL at fixing it with Windex.

48 hours, the phone couldn't keep it down any longer. A slightly less flattering angle. McDonald's called, they want Grimace back.

everything that is useable for a 928 should be removed and the body crushed... save the vin tags like they do for soldiers lost in the field.

This is why it's probably a good thing I'm not wealthy, I'd do a full restoration and save it as a piece of "WTF Were They Thinking" history of car customizing.
