Finally I have been able to test drive the blue car with the rear bronze shifter coupler of my own design (see post #3) installed. Shifting feels good, no unwanted vibrations can be felt. The shifting is tighter but I still need to fix the front shifter rod ball cup. Has anyone in exchange for the front plastic bushing installed a uniball rod end of the type shown in the video and what kind of experience did the mod bring you?

Interesting idea. A quick search for Metric Heim Joints should a good selection from typlical McMaster and Grainger suppliers and I am sure more.

What are the metric sizes and thread pitches for the Ball and socket pieces?*

I have not checked the thread size but I suppose it is a standard M10 or M12 thread. It can also be a fine thread M10 x 1,25 or M12 x 1,5. A vertical pin which will fit through the ball joint has to be attached to the TT. I think I will go for this solution when I find time to do the job. The TT has to come down.
