OP rickstaff: follow Weissach advice. I am signing out and will not fall into the trap. Feel free to PM me if you need any advice or help to sell on BaT.
Just ignore him, he’s always a dick.

Thanks to all the members for their replies. The info on BAT was enlightening. My plan was to list on BAT with a very high reserve(didn't know you can't set your own reserve) and if it sold --terrific. If it didn't at least I would have a market appraisal to use while selling locally. I tried to add a profile pic of me and the car but couldn't.

Post it here on rennlist too (in this forum and in the member to member classifieds), as well as Pelican. I sold mine through Pelican.

Interesting statement, reflects much about the person who's name calling. Take it u don't get much respect in real life.

A simple warning to those listing on BAT, that is all. Brings in many-many none qualified buyers with lots of opinions, on cars they can't afford. Since most sellers there are rookies, a clearer description 'should' be included about possible outcomes before they list. It's common sense.

Thanks, I'll check out Pelican. Depending on the weather I'm about a week a way from shooting the pictures for the ad.

Nah, just a general observation over the past few years about you. Not real hard to figure out. At least I admit to being an *******, you have yet to figure it out.

Go to your membership section and the option to edit avatar and insert pics is located on the left hand columns.

Since you are a full Rennlist member, go ahead and introduce yourself along with the car and we can/will give any advice on things to fix or good things about the car to concentrate on during the BaT ad write up. Post some pics here on this thread.

The reserve will be "suggested" by BaT after they review the car's pics and info and why you think it is a special car. They may and usually move some on the suggested reserve, but not much. My previously one owner Weissach #155 (a well know Rennlister here who worked on it stated that it is the nicest Weissach he's ever seen, and he's seen alot) BaT only came out with a reserve of $30k, but only budged to $31k after my request).

Remember, you can add any number of pics and have any number of narrative revisions before the ad is put up with your approval.

By the picture it appears to be a nice car. Manual? You can do an easy search for all the 928's sold on BAT. Comparing to the sold and not sold cars you can get a good idea of what the market is for your car. I would be careful about "benchmarking". You might want to list it on the PCA site as well if you are member. j

You can attach your pics easily by replying this this thread. Not the "quick reply" icon, but advance reply and you will see an icon with the "mountain". Attach as many pics as you want by selecting "insert from device". I want to see your car!

Great color combo. Interior looks to be in excellent shape, especially the front seats and dash. Is the pod crack free? The finish on the wheels looks original and in great shape. You rarely see manholes with the original anodized finish. A lot of them got polished over the years.
