,
any person taller than 6'1" will rather drive without the top because of limited headroom,

the Ferrari is way different from the 928, should not be compared, the 928 is more of a comfortable daily drive in my opinion.
Wait until you first get to see a 308 in the air and study the chassis and suspension.

Looks like a very poorly fabricated "kit car".

I was stunned, the first time I worked on one!

When I worked on my brother's Mondal T I've noticed the same thing. Looks home made.

+1

I think they called it the "Wunderworks" (Special Wishes) Program

I drove a 308 when I was in Italy a few years ago. I'm 6'4" and with the targa top out the top of the windshield was halfway between my face. Not a very safe car for a tall person...

Well, that's interesting, I doubt the 928 would have had the same success as the Ferrari in Magnum PI, Ferrari is one of the most recognizable brands in the world, the 308 already had a reputation in 1980 before the show started, it was a dream car for many, Magnum PI made the car very recognizable in later years, even the 328 which production ended in late in 1989 is mistaken for a 308 by many.

the sales were exceptional and started dropping in 1982 but still did very well when the 308 QV was introduced, lots of improvements etc.

I don't see anything wrong with the suspension at the time they were build, thats what they used, wishbones, coil springs Koni/Bilstein shocks, ventilated discs on the brakes and the later 328's with added ABS, Teves MK2 ABS used by many car manufacturers.

If you bought a couple of 308/328's you would have been in the pound seats today !! go check it out, in Europe their values quadrupled the last 5 years.

not to speak of the 328, there are good examples with low miles going for 160k pounds, they are known for reliability when looked after and easy to perform many tasks yourself.

IMHO the 308/328 is some of the best classic sport cars to own.

I love my 928 but theirs no point in comparison.
