Default 928 pliers - Question for the 928 Tifosi

Looking for a definitive answer please.

From 77 to 86 pliers were included in the 928 toolkit. They were never defined in PET as a separate part until 1987.

From 1987 to 1995 they were available as a separate part -
#999 107 006 02.

They come with red coated handles from Porsche currently.

What color handles were used in cars from 87 to 95. All yellow, all red or a mixture.

Anyone aware of any other variation.

Were the same pliers used in other P car tool kits?

The pliers in my '94's tool kit are red and black.

The black part is grime.

Ironically, I happened across this today. I have no direct knowledge either way, but here it is FWIW (see post #2 on that thread).
"Did you know that the 928's tool set was switched from yellow screwdriver handle and blank pliers to red screwdriver handle and red coated plier handles in '91?"
[Edit. . .] Took a moment longer, but here is the original post quoted above.

Cool - so far it looks like red 87 to 95. That really helps.
Keep the comments coming please.

Get a grip of yourself!

How much are the stock items as a matter of interest? I banged a pair that would fit in the detente into mine- not exactly concours but then neither are the spanners. Ironically some a-hole swiped the tool kit out of my late S4 post wreck whilst it was awaiting appraisal at the agents and I was recovering from a fractured L1 vertebra].

The pliers with the red handles are $27. However I did read that they do not fit that well into the tool tray recess.

My pliers have red handles, and the screw driver is yellow in my 89. FWIW, the pliers fit very well into the tool tray, they snap in tight.

Red screwdriver and red pliers on the GTS. Even though the pliers are original, and they snap into the tray well, the handles will not push down as flush as I think they should. Maybe they didn't alter the recess to accommodate the extra dimension of the plastic on the handles ??
