Wow! This thread kept going for a while after I got busy and forgot about it last week. Sorry about that. Thank you for all of the continued replies.

I've decided to send the car out to Greg B. when I get a little financial cushion built up. I'm going to use the intervening time to get all of the parts inventoried and in order, also to pull out the rest of the interior that I'm going to have redone--prep the car to the extent I have time.

The plan will be to keep it, then, and show it off at every shark event I can make it to. I never had much of a desire to sell it. I just figured that was sort of a last resort option, if it came to that. Didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up about a pending sale.

I've been off of RL so long that someone pointed out my membership has lapsed. I'll fix that. This board has been and still is a very valuable resource.

Best,
Louis

Good Call Louis.
My '90 is a twenty foot car ( in mediocre light conditions), but after nine years, it's mechanically sorted, reliable as hell and a still a total pleasure to drive, and I'm getting on 200 thou for mileage. It's my daily as long as the salt isn't on the roads.
Now, on to another $20 Gs or so and we'll have a show car. (not likely). I'm more inclined to go for forced induction first with a Shark Tune to increase the fun factor.
I'm not that pretty anymore, so why should my ride be...????

Thank you again to all who helped out last fall with advice and encouragement. I've made it through the winter--literally and mentally--and have started inventorying and organizing 928 parts in my garage. I've also started a "restoration fund," so to speak, for sending everything out to Greg. The project is going to happen sooner than later, and hopefully by the fall I'll be joining a Shark event somewhere. I need to meet you guys around Charlotte, at the very least.

More to come...

This event is right around the corner, literally.

I encourage you to come over and meet everyone and see all of the awesome machines. One year I drove a Pontiac, another owner drove a mustang and there are several that bring support vehicles.
A 928 owner is a 928 owner regardless of what you drive to the show.
Each one is it's own work of art with its own personality, often mirroring the personality of the owner.
There are a couple of localish people that drive over just on Saturday but most everyone from out of town will stay for the entire weekend.
I hope to meet you.

Thanks for the welcome invitations guys. I can't make it to SITM that weekend, as my son will be playing in a baseball tournament. June and July are always busy for me. I'm hoping to make something in the early fall, hopefully with the 928. I'll get there eventually. If there is anything I've learned from this forum, it's that we have a great group of people here.
