Can anyone recommend a carpet kit supplier that they would or wouldn't use?

I got my carpet kit from Robert Budd at www.classicnineleathershop.com and was very pleased with both product and support. You'll find a lot of folks echoing this on here, I think.

Full disclosure ... with Bob or anyone else's kit, you still have a fair amount of trimming and fitting. For example, the piece that goes around the hood release handle has to be carefully cut to tuck under the plastic backing plate and then along the pinchweld at the door opening. And you have to make holes for every screw and fastener that goes through the carpet.

But the binding is really nicely done and the pieces that cover the parking brake, amp cover, etc. are sewn together from separate pieces so they fit just right.

I got the regular pile. I suppose the silverknit would have been a little nicer, but this was good enough for me.

Another vote for Rob Budd. German Velour.

Rob Budd for sure. I bought the German Velour. A lot more than the Sliverknit but it really looks good.
