remove the fuel pressure gauge its of no use when the engine is running, and can cause a fire.

FWIW having both belts pulling the crank pulley to one side will cause additional wear on the front main bearing.

NOTE this will be evident when the girdle is split

Does same bearing wear occur when the air pump belt removed, but AC belt still on? If so that's a concern - I have air pump belt off just now, but I know some people remove all the air injection parts!

thats why I usually would steam clean the whole thing first. Makes the job way more pleasant.

The engine as it hangs looks like it's already enjoyed a lot of cleaning. As many know, getting 97.3% of the easy/obvious cleaning done means there's only another 90% of the cleaning left to do after tth engine is actually out of the way.

I think the work glove gauntlets will need to reach all the way up the arm and cover the shoulders and most of the head. Some coverage duplication will happen but that's not a bad thing really. Just leave eye holes.

Cleaning seems to take at least as much time as "actual work" on any given projects. According to my "keep everything spotless" continuous-improvement program, I should have been able to white-glove the MM/OPG effort a year ago. In my dreams... I let my shop apron gather and store the small amount of remaining crud. Still ended up looking similar to the OP's picture, but with formerly-white hair and all.
