For Sale: Good used 5-speed trans and Torque Tube
This trans and torque tube was just removed from a 1983 928 S by us and a 6-speed was installed for the owner in its place.
The customer has asked me to list it and see what he can get for it.
I drove the car before removing the trans and it shifted correctly, and was quiet. However, I am just listing this for the car owner, and I am not providing any warranty on it.
I don't see these come up for sale that often, but when I do the price on the transaxle alone is around $1100 and the torque tube is in the low 400's.
It does not have a limited slip differential. The trans is a model G28/07.
If someone was going to do an automatic-to-manual trans conversion, this would be an inexpensive way to get the main parts you need.
