Hi Guys -
I'm looking to purchase my first 928. I'm an old school muscle car guy in the traditional sense, however the 928 has always appealed to me. I've driven both 16v & 32v cars, both manuals and autos. From an engine perspective I'm fine with either as speed is not my end goal, however a manual is must.
I've been searching the usual places and looked at a few cars, but most have been either neglected or abused, thus I joined Rennlist to hopefully find the right car. In a perfect world a 1985/86 928s would be preferable, but I'm open to an S4, I just simply prefer the the 1st Gen styling.
The goal is to buy the absolute best driver possible. That means everything must work as it should from the AC and headlamps to the power windows and seats. Mileage is not a huge concern, but I'd prefer something with under 80k.
Now, is this car a unicorn? Maybe, but I've been dealing with old cars long enough to know they're still out there. My hope is Rennlist will help me find it. I'm located in the Bay Area, CA so if anyone has any leads I'd be more than open.
Thanks in advance and hopefully I'll be able to contribute here.
Cheers - Mike

Adk46 - that's the goal. For me it's all about finding the right car and purchasing from the right owner. This is a car I plan to keep for a long time and enjoy
