Greyhound has been a go-to on this sort of thing for some time.

Would you mind sharing rough ballpark on the conversion and re-trimming?

Got it the seats today. They arrive at Robert’s tomorrow. Thanks for all your help. I’ll post updates on the conversion process

here are the sonar candidates
Interesting solution. That is really close to Porsche solution for the 928 Club-Sport.

The first prototype had full sport manual seats.
In fact, they have made a mistake so the car had two passengers seats

The others prototypes and the production cars had non-electrical 944 or 911 lower part with regular sport seat upper part.
The equipment codes are I377/I378 (left and right combination seats)

They are nice, and light.

The seats I purchased were from a 1985.5 Porsche 944 base model. The passenger seat is fully manual. The driver seat has two power switches on them. I presume that is for raising and lowering the bottom section front and back separately (aka elevators). According to this post these electronics are 7lbs heaver than the full manual.

Are you saying that the Club Sport sport seats (exuding the prototype) had the same configuration but with the larger bolsters?

Do you know the configuration for the SE models? Was that the same?

Do you know if the sport seats ever came with heat as an option?

FYI, I am going to start a new thread about converting my seats and to sports and getting them fit into my car. I'll have questions about making the correct seat harness and removing the memory functions from the car and what to do about heated seats.

The CS seats are indeed a base (non electric) bottom with a sport top, regular (non sport) lower part with sport upper part.

The SE seats are regular electric sport seats.

The electric sport seats were available with heating.
Of course, the CS seats were not.

I was planning to convert the seats of my 1987 S4 to CS specifications, so I also have a pair of 944 sport seats (electric) AND two base non-electric lower parts. I had to buy the left side in the UK, because in France cars were delivered with at least the driver side with electric height adjustment.

I'm glad that my 1988 CS has the typical CS seats, because my previous 1989 CS has the regular electric seats. This is the only CS with these, to my knowledge. But another 1989 CS has the regular electric sport seats.

We've had Mr. Budd and Paul C convert 928 comfort seats to sport seats wth great results. Going to be sending mine to Bob in the future for mine to be converted. Good luck with those, much lighter and actually pretty comfortable.
