S4 ECU question - this doesn't look right to me
Hi gentlemen, hope everyone is having a good Sunday (or Monday to our friends in Asia and AUS).
Digging into the S4 donor car and noticed this, which attaches to the ECU housing. The opening, that you can see in the second picture, should be where the wiring is routed through to the connector, no? There are two connectors on the outside of the ECU, the other one has the wiring routed through that opening as I would expect.
Could I ask for a more experienced set of eyes on this please?

That's the 'coding' plug. It informs the ECUs of the type of 928 they will control: NA vs ROW, 5-speed vs auto.

Probably? Kinda hard to tell from your pictures. Too small. Looks like one of the connector bodies is broken or has been swapped-out.
The connector body without the exiting leads has pins that are present and wired depending upon the config of the 928. The WSM shows all the possible variations.
Thanks

Love your avatar BTW.
