Need a single H4.

A rock kicked up by another vehicle has shattered my driver's side H4 and I need a new one.

If anybody has a single H4 they can part with, please let me know.

I think there is one on eBay.

Do you need a nippled one or one sans nipple (as above) to match what you have?

while your at it order a sheet of 3M film off ebay ,
cover the front of each lamp lens ,
this will prolong the life of the lights

Nippleless (is that a word?) is what I need.

Thanks

This one's painful Otto. Happened to me a few years back. Nothing inexpensive about those H4s.

Hmmmm. Sounds personal.

We have the lens in stock - remove the old lens and replace with a new lens. Made from the latest technology lens material.

Is that a cheaper way to convert from US to H4 lighting or does the whole unit need to be replaced?

It will all depend on what you pay for the new/used parts.
We designed the H4 lens as a replacement for the H5 lens.
The lens can also be used to replace a broken lens on an original H4 light.
These are 8" lens.

Hi Roger --

Does the new lens actually work with the H5 reflector and bulb to give H4 performance? I'm due for a reflector cleaning as the original H5's are getting a tad cloudy. Might be time for an upgrade if your pieces work for the conversion. Else new H4's ($$) will be the next option.

ROG100 10-09-2017 01:49 PM

Dr. Bob - that was the original intent and according to customers they work fine with the rest of the H5 assembly.
Have I done an in depth analysis of a comparison between an H4 and H5 equipped headlight I have not.

Roger:

Do you have a photograph of your replacement lens?

Very hard to get a good picture. We used a brand new Porsche H4 lens without the teats as the mold.
Lens is optically perfect and anything you see in the picture like marks or smudges is not there.
These are $245 each.

We used the same process and material for the driving/Fog lines lens of which we have sold plenty.

Lens material is VERY strong and I can stand on them (240Lbs) without any effect.
